The Full Question...
How to quickly fix errors that occur when I am trying to upload a flat-file/bulk sheet to Amazon and keep getting error reports that make no sense at all... what the HELL IS GOING ON?
Answer:
Yep, you are using Amazon's bulksheets to save time right, but you don't want the hassle of trying to fix spreadsheets with errors.
I have an answer.
It might not be THE answer that heals all ills...
but it worked for me [and should also help you].
Here's my yesterday...
I was trying to add a bunch of new campaigns but kept getting the above errors.
This was the unhelpful advice from Amazon's report:
So, What's the Fix?
If you are confident that all of your information is correct, and you have double-checked that the formatting looks right, but it still doesn't take...
Remove the other page tabs from your spreadsheet. If you need them, save each as a separate single-page document.
Then save your document as a CSV file, not an Excel file.
Open the CSV file and then save it again as an Excel file. This should get rid of any formatting that was causing a problem, or, should at least allow the file to be accepted with errors.
See what happened...
Solved!
If the file was accepted but still reported errors, check out the campaigns in Campaign Manager to see where the faults lie. It should be clear because something will be missing!
TOP TIP - If you are adding lots of new ad campaigns, I might suggest that you put them into an interim portfolio first, such as one named "Interim Portfolio". You can then easily double-check the campaigns at a glance, and move them to their correct place/portfolio with confidence when there are no errors.
